Setting up a PPC campaign for your business can be tricky. There are many things you need to keep in mind such as keywords, bidding strategy and more. Also, it’s very important that you get the right help because if not done properly, your campaign could lead to larger than necessary ad spends and budget overruns.

Hopefully, after reading this post you’ll have all the information you need to decide if PPC is right for your business and if so — how to start creating your first campaign.

#1: It Can Improve Your Rankings in Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs)

With Google AdWords, you can show up as an ad every time someone searches for certain keywords related to your business. Depending on how much money you spend on ads and if people click on them or not it can lead to an increase in rankings and clicks to your website.

#2: It Can Get You New Customers Quickly and Easily

Getting new customers is the goal of any PPC campaign. Most people tend to forget how fast you can get results from a PPC ad. For example, if I wanted to rent a dumpster for my latest DIY project, I could simply type “dumpster rental” into Google or Bing search bar and pick up the first company that shows in the search results. My experience shows that no matter what hours I’m working with, I can always find a company on page 1 or 2 that looks promising because most of them know they have to show up there in order for me to consider the possibility of hiring them.

#3: You Can Hire People Who Are Good at PPC Management

You don’t need to be an expert in PPC management. Most of the time it’s only needed if you have a very large budget or want your campaign to get more traffic than just people searching for certain keywords. For example, if you run a small lawn-mowing business and only want new customers from people searching Google for “lawn mowing” then you won’t have to use any advanced tactics or optimize your ads with multiple landing pages etc. As long as you place an ad that’s relevant for search results, use some valuable keywords and target them I’m sure you’ll see positive results after the first couple of weeks.

#4: You Can Focus on What You Do Best

We all know that not every business is capable of doing everything by themselves. If you specialize in one specific thing, for example — plumbing or home contracting services then there’s no point for you to waste time and money on a blog or forum writing articles about related topics that people could find using Google search results anyway. Instead, it would be more effective if your time was used on gathering testimonials from previous customers on how satisfied they were with your work and write them down on a page of your website titled “testimonials” or something similar. That way you’ll create an opportunity to show up as an ad every time someone searches for “plumbing service”, “lawn mowing” or “home improvement services”.

#5: It Can Lead to One-Time Customers or Regular Customers

If you want to build a long-term business and gain loyal customers it’s important that you promote your products and/or services the right way. After all, in order for someone to hire you again in the future they should be satisfied with their previous experience — both from quality of work and professionalism. To achieve this end, it’s very important to listen to what your potential clients have on their mind and address everything they are concerned about before starting any work. That way not only will your customers be happy but also recommended you to friends or family members who need similar services done.

#6: You Can Test Your Ad Copy Without a Huge Risk

One of the best things about PPC advertising is that you can always test your ad copy or even try different landing pages without risking too much money. For example, if I wanted to see what would happen if I change one word in my text ad then I could create another text ad with only this changed word and run it for at least a week. By doing this simple step I will learn which version performs better and keep using the one that brings me more customers. If AdWords wasn’t around, it’s possible that I would have never known which version was better or worse than the other since people tend to forget ads easily after seeing them for a few days.

Hiring A Pay Per Click Manager:

The Best Way to Use Pay Per Click Advertising

Now that you know how PPC advertising can help your contracting company, it’s time we talked about hiring a professional. If you’re not exactly sure which part of your business could be most beneficial for using PPC, we recommend calling our offices to discuss your company in detail.

If your company specializes in home contracting services then it would make sense to focus on getting new customers through people searching online for “home improvement services”, “exterior painting” or “carpentry.” All of these are great keywords because they bring in people who either want to improve their home’s outside appearance or inside, or need a new deck built. We have access to large amounts of data showing the appropriate keywords that work for contractors and attract the largest audience.

Conclusion:

Hiring a professional for PPC can be difficult, especially if they aren’t sure which keywords will bring in the most targeted traffic that fits your contracting business. Done right, however, this can be an excellent tool to drive traffic and more business your way.
