Pre-Sales Questions
WorxCare™ is our ongoing maintenance and updating service that keeps your website functioning at peak performance. This service updates your website every week with plugin, component and security updates, as well as backups to maintain the ability to quickly recover from hacking threats. We even include time each month so you can send change requests, and we take care of them for you.
We include free WorxCare™ for the term of your contract, and once your contract is complete, you can choose to continue WorxCare™ for a lower monthly payment.
Most website designers will build your new site, then hand you the keys to fend for yourself. We will hand you a copy of the keys, but we also include WorxCare™, and continue to log in every week (or more often when critical) to update your plugins, security components and more. We make sure that your site is working at peak performance, and kept secure at all times. And if you have changes to make to your site, we even include time each month to do them for you. You will never be alone, and with one point of contact, we will know you by name, and what goals you have for your website.
You get to choose. If you like one of our current templates, we can base your new site off that look, or we will build a completely custom site from the ground up, and no additional charge.
During your initial website build, we will handle on-page SEO. Any ongoing SEO services would be an additional service with an added cost.
We will write all of the content included with your initial site build, at no extra charge, with every website design package we offer. Our professional staff will write every word to help boost your initial SEO efforts. If you wish to make some changes to what we have written, or write all of your own content, simply send it to us and we'll add it in for you.
Yes, and we encourage you to do so. We will resize and optimize them for appropriate fit and speed.
No problem. We have access to tens of thousands of stock photos related to the construction industry that will be licensed for your site. These can be used indefinitely once the license is issued.
Yes, each package we offer includes time each month for you to request changes, and we will make them for you at no additional charge as long as you have an active WorxCare™ plan.
Note: Monthly time does not roll over.
Yes, you are agreeing to 24 monthly payments to pay off your website, and we include our WorxCare™ services at no extra charge for the length of your contract.
Yes. Once your site is fully paid off, you may choose to move it to other hosting, or continue with our fully managed services at a lower monthly rate. See our “Renewals” page for more details on your options.
Of course. Simply reach out to us and we will walk you through the process. There is no penalty for early repayment.
Yes. Business class hosting is included at no additional charge with every package we offer, for the length of your contract.
Yes. We hold developer licenses for our main software stack and your plugin costs are covered in your monthly payments as long as you are on a WorxCare™ Plan. Currently, this saves you over $800 per year. Note: if you request additional plugins to extend your site, you will be responsible for the fees involved if they are not currently in our stack.
Your WorxCare™ plan is free for the length of your contract, and you can choose to extend once your contract is complete.
Hosting email on the same servers as your website is an old technique that was used in the past, and which some inferior hosting systems still use. Our servers are WordPress optimized for website hosting and we do not host email. We recommend that you check out Google Workspace or Office 365 to maintain your email separately. Absolutely, and we encourage you to do so. Once your website is complete, we can point the domain for you, or help with instructions for you to do it yourself. Pro Tip: Regardless of who handles your new website design, do not give up control of your domain name. It is one of your most important assets, and you should always maintain complete control and pay the annual renewals yourself.
Yes. Every website we build is fully responsive to the screen size of your user, making it look great on any size device, including smartphones and tablets.
Yes, and we utilize SEO plugins to extend the SEO abilities of the WordPress CMS.
During your site build, we take care of the basic on-page SEO, and we encourage you to continue that optimization with any new content you add in the future.
Yes, and we offer videos to help walk you through the most common changes.
Yes. For example, you might hire an SEO expert to work on your website. We will issue credentials that you can pass along to a trusted third-party as needed.
We offer ongoing content writing to help boost your SEO efforts as an optional service. Space is limited. Call us for pricing and availability.
Unmaintained websites are a security risk to our servers, therefore we do not offer hosting if you are not under contract, or enrolled in a WorxCare™ plan.
If you have content you would like to transfer, including old blog posts, we can handle this process for you. Depending on the size of your current site, there might be additional fees involved. Reach out to discuss the details.
Yes. We recommend that you only add links to exterior sources due to the ever changing nature of APIs from major social media networks.
Most third-party services will give you a segment of code that can be placed into your website to perform specific functions. This is usually a very straightforward process and we can handle this for you. If there is any doubt, contact us first and we’ll be happy to take a look at it for you.
Don’t worry. In the unlikely event of a successful hack, we will be there to fix it as long as you are on a WorxCare™ plan. Part of our weekly maintenance is ensuring that we have backups that will help us get your site cleaned up and back online quickly if necessary.
WorxCare™ is included with your monthly payment while you are under your initial contract. At the end of your contract, you may elect to continue on with just a care plan to receive our website hosting and management at a lower monthly rate.
Once your site is paid off, you may move your site to any hosting you choose. Not all hosting is created equally, therefore we do not manage any website that is not hosted on our servers. If you require enterprise hosting, call us to discuss your needs.
Yes, we serve many different types of contractors, many of whom offer a mix of services. So even if your business is called, “Jeff’s Roofing and Smoked Brisket,” we can build your website.
While many other companies will use this claim as a sales tactic, it is impossible to guarantee an increase in rankings. We will not lie to you, so we do not make this claim.
Your rankings greatly depend on what you (and your competition) are doing in the form of ongoing SEO. We have no way of knowing that information, and anyone who tells you they can guarantee your website’s success is just trying to sell you something. Simply put, they are lying.
About The Process:
After you have placed an order, you will be taken to our online questionnaire. You will be asked a series of questions to give us an overview of who you are, what you do, and the service areas you cover. You’ll upload your logo and some photos (if you have them,) and this will give us enough information to get your site scheduled. We’ll probably have some questions along the way, and we’ll reach out whenever necessary.
Once your site is ready to be viewed, we will upload it to a temporary location and send you a link. At this point you can submit changes you wish to have made, and we will make those adjustments as needed. Once you are happy with everything, we can launch the site whenever you are ready.
There are a number of factors involved, but once we have all of your information, we average about 4-5 weeks to the first upload and adjustments. Larger sites can take a bit longer, but we'll keep in the loop. We complete each site in the order in which it is received, and your website build is placed in line after all of your information is submitted.
If you are having a new logo designed, there is no need to wait for it to be completed. We can begin your site build and you can send it to us it when it’s ready.
No problem. We offer very personalized service. You will have one point of contact, and that person will know your name, your company, and will remember you every time you call.
Fee & Payment Questions
To get started, simply pay the deposit and first months payment for your website. Once your payment is received, you will immediately be taken to the next steps.
Yes, you are agreeing to pay the total of your website design over 24 monthly payments. We include lots of free services, including WorxCare™ during that period. See our pricing page for details.
We use an automated billing system to send invoices and charge the card you keep on file. Your payments will begin within a few days of your websites launch, and will continue to be charged on the same day each month.
The only other fees that might apply is if you require services not included with our WorxCare™ Plan. We do charge fees for late payments and suspensions as necessary.
Yes, we include time each month for you to submit changes you wish to make to your website. This time must be used each month and does not roll over. See our pricing page for more information.
If you are unable to make a payment on time, please call us immediately so we can discuss your options. Any account that is five days past due will be suspended automatically, and all WorxCare™ activities will cease. At ten days past due the account will be closed.
Unfortunately we are occasionally forced to charge late fees.
Our hourly rate for extra/ordered work is $189 and we break charges up into 15 minute increments.
You can use your payment dashboard to update the card on file, or call us and we’ll send a link to make it easier.
In order to close your account, you will need to send a written request via email, and we will verify that you are the account owner prior to any closure. Once verified, we will handle everything necessary and send emails regarding the status of your closure. There are no exceptions to this procedure, and accounts cannot be closed over the phone.
Due to the nature of our business, we do not offer refunds once any portion of the work has begun. Please ask all questions and make an informed decision prior to placing an order.
Once your contract is fulfilled, you may choose to move your site to new hosting. Due to the amount of time required to move websites to other hosting, we charge our current hourly rate for the actual time it takes. Payment is required for this service whether it works on your new hosting or not.
Support Questions
WorxCare™ Clients:
During normal business hours, feel free to ring us at 800-975-9850 and we'll be happy to help. After hours, use the support ticket system within our client area. This account is monitored 24 hours daily.
Non-WorxCare™ Clients:
We do not host or support websites that are no longer subscribed to a WorxCare™ Plan.
Yes, you can add additional plugins to help extend the functionality of your website, but you will be required to pay the license fees for any plugins or components not included in our current stack.
Additionally, if you are attempting to use free or unsupported plugins that might pose a security risk, we may, at any time, disable or remove them to protect your website from hacking attempts.
Instructions for setting up email accounts on devices will be provided by your email provider. See recommendations for email providers here:
We include time each month for change requests with each Website Package we offer. You can simply send us a request and we will make the changes for you. If you would like to make changes yourself, you may request administrative access via email. Check out our training videos that will walk you through the most common changes.
Once your contract is fulfilled, you may request that we provide a copy of your website to move it to other hosting if you prefer. We will take a backup and send a link for download.
If your contract term is completed and you do not wish to continue with a WorxCare™ Plan, we can move your website to new hosting. We charge for the actual time it takes to do so. We do not guarantee that your website will work on sub-par hosting, and the time will be billed whether it works or not. We can give recommendations for new hosting options, and highly recommend that you avoid budget hosting options as they are not robust enough to handle a website built for a business.
