Pre-Sales Questions:
Absolutely! And we encourage you to do so! We include the amazing "Worx Builder" software with every site we build, so you'll be able to easily make changes right on the screen. No programming involved! We also have training videos to help you make the most common changes, and we'll be there for you if you need help.
Absolutely! As long as you have control of your domain name account, we will simply point your domain name at our server once your new site is complete. Remember to keep paying that domain name bill each year, and never give up control of that domain name to any designer. We'll never ask you for it!
Ongoing SEO takes a great deal of time and is not included with your hosting. Beware offers for cheap SEO as they are simply out to take your money. We offer SEO packages and the prices of those packages reflect the amount of time involved to do it properly.
Once your website is completely paid for, we place no restrictions on moving your site to other hosting. Keep in mind that we use business-class hosting, therefore we do not guarantee that your site will work with other hosting, nor shall we support any website that is no longer hosted on our servers.
All ContractorWorx websites are built on WordPress with the exception of some older sites, which are no longer available for purchase.
Yes! Every site we build is based on a fully responsive template which means that it works perfectly for mobile and tablets, along with laptops and desktops. Additionally, each site passes Google's mobile testing.

Once you have fully paid for a website, it is yours to do with as you please within the constraints of the license. This just means that you cannot make copies, sell copies, or duplicate any portion of the site. We own the content we produced, but you are licensed to use one copy of it forever. In the event that your account is closed for non-payment of hosting fees, we are not responsible for files lost in the process, and we will not replace them at no charge. We do not replace lost or damaged websites. For complete details, see our licensing page, or contact us with any questions you may have.
There is no such thing as a hack-proof website, but we have taken measures to help prevent the most common hacking attempts, and to help you recover in the unlikely event that your website is hacked. As long as your site is on our hosting, we take daily backups of your account and hold those for months at a time. If your site is hacked, we have the ability revert your site back to its original state.
Keep in mind that there may be fees associated with removing malicious code and securing your site following a hacking attempt.
We don't mind occasionally making small changes for current clients when we have time to do so, but paid changes will always be completed before free ones. If we offer to make a change for you at no charge, do not expect them to be completed quickly.

Absolutely! We'll be happy to help walk you through the process of setting up your email on any device.
Once your site is completed, we send a direct link to your site on our server so that you can view it prior to pointing the domain name. Once your site is uploaded and a link is provided, your site is considered delivered. Should you need a complete copy of the files, send a written request via email and we will provide a download link for your backup. Unpaid balances must be paid prior to requesting a backup or copy. You can also find a backup of your site within the administrative section of your site. Once your hosting account is cancelled or closed, we are not responsible for retaining any of the files associated with your account.
Yes. In order to issue credentials for a third-party to use the admin section of your website, you must send a written request from the email we have on file for your account. Keep in mind that we do not offer free support for anyone you hire, and you will be billed for our time if they require support or training for tasks they do not understand. For this reason, you should only hire agencies or individuals with extensive experience working with WordPress CMS.

In order to close your account, you will need to send a written request via email, and we will verify that you are the account owner prior to any closure. Once verified, we will handle everything necessary and send emails regarding the status of your closure. There are no exceptions to this procedure, and accounts cannot be closed over the phone.

Due to the nature of our business, we do not offer refunds once any portion of the work has begun. Please ask all questions and make an informed decision prior to placing an order.
Due to the amount of effort required to move your website to other hosting, we charge $59 for this service whether it works on new hosting or not. This fee must be paid in advance. Keep in mind that once you are no longer on ContractorWorx hosting, we do not support or update your website in any way.

During normal business hours, feel free to ring us at 800-975-9850 and we'll be happy to help. After hours, use the support ticket system within our client area. This account is monitored 24 hours daily.

If you have not requested administrative access to your website, please do so by sending us an email request. Once your credentials have been issued, you may login to the back-end of your site to make changes. Within our client area, you will find informative videos to help guide you through the most common tasks, and if you have any trouble, reach out and we'll be happy to help!
Website copies are only sent upon request. Simply send an email requesting a copy from the email address we have on file. You can also download a backup from within the administrative area of your site should you need one. Note: You will not be allowed to download a copy of your website if you have an unpaid balance.
